Theft
Theft is taking property without the owner’s consent.  Many students are victims of theft with electronics, books, and money the most common items stolen.  Thefts of school property also occur.  Every year, schools spend unnecessary money replacing school property.  That money could be used for educational purposes or school activities.

Why Speak Out?
Theft at school costs money and distracts from education.  You deserve an environment where your property and school facilities are respected. 

Theft cost other students money and interferes with their security.  Theft of school property  costs money that could otherwise be spent on educational materials and school activities.

What to do?
If you know about someone responsible for theft, tell an adult you trust or contact Students Speaking Out.
